About Us
Corriedoun Akaushi is run as part of our family farming operation “Corriedoun”. It is part of a larger grazing property in the Yaven Creek area of the South West Slopes of NSW, Australia. We are located near both Adelong and Tumut, and close to Wagga Wagga, the hub of the Riverina.
Our Akaushi heifers and cows run with our breeding herd, that calve in the Spring. The focus for all our herd is calving ease, high fertility and strong yield.
Corriedoun is owned and operated by Michael and Jessica Campbell. Michael holds a PhD in Dairy Farm Systems, Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Michael is currently managing the farm, which includes our Akaushi Stud and Beef Supply Chain and is also the Managing Director of “Legendairy Beef”, a start up Beef from Dairy supply chain company.
Jess has been on the farm since birth. Raised on Corriedoun, she has also studied away, achieving a Masters in Education and Bachelor of Arts/Education. However, upon starting their family, Jess and Michael returned to the family farm and began developing ideas on the future direction they wanted to take.
Both are incredibly passionate about agriculture as an industry and the amazing opportunities it can present. Michael is currently President of the Australian Association of Animal Sciences (finishing in July 2022), sits on the National Committee for the Intercollegiate Meat Science Association (ICMJ) and is President of the Adelong Show Society. Jess is the Chairperson of Riverina Highlands Landcare Network and both are involved in helping on many committees within the local region.
